some tits for tats.....

as of late I have felt nothing really note worthy has been going on in our daily lives, but I suppose if you let enough time go by sooner or later something will build up in your brain and linger there long enough for it to finally become blog worthy. so here in no particular order are some things I've been looming over and since pictures only edify my thoughts I'll include some fun ones...

safety first....
A picture speaks a thousand words right? I don't really hear words when I look at this picture, only the shrill cackles of pubescence and the echo of stupidity that radiates from their scrawny little faces.  I half expect to still see dribble and food running down their chins but fortunately for us they have mastered the art of the napkin in their fourteenth year.  Yes, our summer came to an end with my youngest brothers, The Twins!, turning 15! And entering into a hallowed apprenticeship of permitted driving.  The holy grail of all numbers, 16, is less then a year away for these two young men.  While they may look like they are 12, they act like they are 8.  But as luck would have it 8 + 8 = 16 and the two of them have put it together that their driving education should already be under way with someone taking them for some slick, mind boggling loops around the driving range! However, we decided to first test their skills around my parents yard.  Hang out to your helmets kids; it's one bumpy ride. (and McKay was nice enough to add some drama with some awesome sound effects)

Matt wanted to put me in the wheel barrow and push me around but I being an onry and boring sister  had to decline. That and I'm pretty sure this baby boy of mine would have wondered why he was already being dropped on his head before he even came into the world.

Matt and McKay's eagerness to learn how to drive has only slowed my willingness to really except what motherhood might entail.  surely the twins only act this way because by the time they were created there wasn't enough "normal" gene's to pass on and then the poor dears had to divide them up between the two of them, (whether it was an even split is still up to question). I often wondered where mothers find the emotion to carry them through the woes of child rearing and I think it starts as soon as one finds out they have conceived.  While this child will get first pickings of whatever genes I have to offer he's already pushing my buttons, or rather my bladder, rips, lungs and esophagus.  nothing short of what any mother hasn't gone through during her pregnancies. but I feel the the acid reflex hes' brought on is going to come back to burn him in his adolescent years. I feel like Simba, except for working on my roar, I'm building up great balls of acid fire, a stinging bitter taste that will one day explode from my lips and scorch his little behind like some fire breathing dragon!  Let's just hope he comes out as funny as his young uncles.
a foreshadowing of things to come!

Hi! I didn't know you had a blog! I just adore that picture of you & Lindsay. We miss out on so much not living in Utah. Danny & I & our family plan on seeing you & the rest of the Wilcox clan on Thanksgiving, though. Can't wait.
