a christmas story....

I couldn't convince George to come out for Halloween (I guess he isn't a fan of candy corn) but thankfully he was here for Christmas! (phew) our little georgie progie has gotten a little porkie in just a short month. which made his cute christmas outfit from grandmama jane fit more like spandex then pants. 

yes my boy has a spare tire and he's only a month old

 he looked like a ripe jolly old elf, and we all laughed in spite of ourselves....

and since we weren't able to get our picture taken with Santa I chose instead to take a picture of george next to everyone's tree.... he got heavier to hold up as the month progressed.

I think george thought my christmas tree idea was a bit lame

so he decided to stay up and meet the man in red himself.... 

he crashed around three.

little did he know his gifts laid unwrapped on his bedroom floor and there was no need for all the screaming to keep himself, and us, awake.

but santa's no grinch and still came, mostly in the form of grandparents who spoiled him rotten.

the first christmas gift I received as a child was a train, that has since been melted in the sun, broken in the dishwasher and beat up by one to many hands.  I still have it though and my dad brought it over one day for george to play with.
 but my savy parents were clever enough to find the same train on ebay and share the same first christmas gift with george!!

I may have been a bit more excited about the train.
but i'm sure george will love it one day!

all and all it was a pretty fun christmas, it looks like george is off to a good start!
