lately I've learned a lot about my genetic make up, the diagnosis, I'm a pessimist! say what? me the radiant beam of light that warms up the room as soon as I step my golden foot in the door!! yes, my pearly whites and glowing countenance = pure joy. blue birds should be twittering around my head at all times.
but truthfully, all the sunniness I bring is really just left overs from James, who's genetic make up bytheway is created of optimism! and I'm not just saying this to gloat like sappy wives tend to do when they blog. the guy really is all sugar and spice minus the girly pansy part. ask anyone. hence the reason my family, extended included, prefer his company to mine. But I won't mention anything about his glowing countenance because there's enough hype over shimmering men right now and I don't want anyone nicknaming him Edward.
I'm hoping with our mix of pessimism and optimism our kids will come out realist. what do you think? maybe I could produce a little family of Vulcan's that would teach us how to view the world logically and also how to trickily spread our fingers forming a perfect V shape, blessing us with longevity and prosperity! (this may be a little too optimistic for me, but I think James would get a kick out of it)
Fortunately I won't have to go to such extremes, even though our children might come out with pointy ears. I've just decided to try as hard as a true pessimist can to view things a little more colorfully. for as Maya Angelou said,
life is pure adventure, and the sooner we realize that, the quicker we will be able to treat life as art; to bring all our energies to each encounter, to remain flexible enough to notice and admit when what we expected to happen did not happen. we need to remember that we are created creative and can invent new scenarios as frequently as they are needed. - Maya Angelounow don't get me wrong, I didn't go out and buy a pair of rose colored glasses and will not become strictly naive, I'm just going to try and accentuate the positive, (that's right, you read me correctly)
to remain flexible enough to notice and admit when what we expected to happen did not happen, and know that life can still be a party and I can still live long and prosper regardless of my unexpected, but amusing surroundings.
And as an Added bonus here are some colorful life moments that have just happened,

eternal posterity was refreshed, welcome Alesha to the Wilcox family

four goons exuding hot vibes in Tiffany Blue ties and suave black silk vests

an oldie but goldie grandma winegar that looks ravishing in blue!

bright cheery faces that laughed and and smiled as we danced the evening away.
I found color comes through many a characteristics and emotions, not just tangible things. The evening was joyous. and the party continues on into the weekend over in Vernal, and you know we'll certainly find some color there, even if it comes in the shade of manure!!!
